Warhorse Studios and the Return to Historical Roots

Kingdom Come: Deliverance launched in February 2018 after years of careful research into 15th-century Bohemian culture, architecture, and combat. The game consulted archaeologists, historians, and fight choreographers to produce a medieval world with no dragons, no magic — just documented history.

Its sequel, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, followed in February 2025 and expanded on the same principles. The studio now operates as part of the Embracer Group's Deep Silver label.

Bohemia Interactive and the Language of Military Realism

Bohemia Interactive has produced some of the most technically demanding games in the simulation genre. The Arma series — now in its fourth major installment — remains the definitive benchmark for open-world military sandboxes.

Their Virtual Battlespace (VBS) engine has been deployed by armed forces in over 30 countries for training purposes, making Bohemia one of the few Czech companies with a direct presence in the defense sector through software.
